Delray Beach Crowned Florida’s Best Beach for Third Straight Year

Delray Beach has once again taken the top spot in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, earning the title of Best Beach in Florida for the third consecutive year.

The recognition highlights what locals and visitors already know: Delray’s two miles of clean, white sand, clear blue water, natural dunes, and a vibrant walkable downtown just steps from the shore make it a standout even in a state with over 825 miles of coastline.

The annual award is determined through a two-step process. USA TODAY editors and travel experts first assemble a shortlist of top Florida beaches, then open daily public voting — which closed this year on May 18.

“Winning this award three years in a row speaks to the unique experience Delray Beach offers,” said Laura Simon, executive director of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority. “From our beautiful shoreline to the energy, culture, dining, and hospitality found throughout our downtown — it’s a destination that truly has something for everyone.”

Florida averages 230 days of sunshine annually, keeping it among the world’s premier beach destinations. That Delray Beach continues to rise above the competition reflects both the quality of its natural environment and the investment its community has made in keeping the beach clean, accessible, and welcoming.
