Toddler Shoots Man with Unsecured Gun in Delray Beach Home

A 3-year-old accidentally shot a man Thursday night at a residence in Delray Beach, Florida, after a firearm was left unsecured. Officers responded around 9 p.m. and the injured man was transported to a hospital; his condition has not been released. The child was unharmed. The incident follows a pattern of similar tragedies in South Florida, including a 2-year-old who shot his mother in St. Lucie County in December and a toddler killed by an unsecured handgun in Port St. Lucie in February 2025.
